Digital Diagnostics
We have opted to use digital diagnostic technology including in the mouth photographs, and all X-Rays. This brings five main advantages:
- You will be exposed to a much reduced radiation level
- Real-time imaging means less waiting time for you
- Digital technology is more reliable and produces clearer images
- Digital technology is environmentally friendly
- Digital photos are immediately displayed so you can understand your treatment
Sterilization and Cross-Infection Control
Here we employ the latest cross-infection control techniques. There is a dedicated sterilization room using the best equipment available that allows for the very highest standards of hygiene. This included hospital grade pre-sterilization disinfection stage and all our instruments are kept sterile in bags until use.
For endodontic work (root canals) we do not re-use any endodontic instruments so that contamination with the BSC/vCJD prion is completely impossible.
CEREC 3D
We have chosen this revolutionary technology because it has a proven clinical record. We are one of a select number providing this service
- The shaped tooth is optically scanned then this CAD/CAM system makes very high quality, aesthetic ceramic restorations in the surgery within 20 minutes.
- This system allows for a single visit solution. For example, a laboratory-produced restoration would normally need a 10-day turnaround time and two lots of anaesthetic at two appointments.
- No impressions (moulds) are needed as the shaped tooth is optically scanned.
- There is no temporary restoration needed with this system
- Being CAD/CAM also means that the precision of fit is much better than with the traditional method as the human error element in the laboratory is eliminated.

Administration
dental-Spa is run on the Software of Excellence management system, which has multimedia features including appointment reminders by email and text to mobile phones via SMS to help you keep your appointments. There is also fail-safe backup technology, ensuring full data protection of patient details.
